Purpose & nature of the tools. The crypto tools at /tools/ and /tools/wallet-generator/ (incl. Wallet Generator, ETH Unit Converter, Address Validator, QR Code Generator) are software utilities for educational and experimental purposes. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, nor do they replace such advice. In providing these tools, the operator does not render any licensable financial service, investment brokerage, or investment advice within the meaning of German banking or securities law (KWG, WpHG, GewO § 34f/§ 34d) or comparable regulation elsewhere, and holds no license from any financial regulator. No custody of third-party assets takes place. No crypto assets are transferred, exchanged, or custodied; in particular, no licensable crypto-asset service within the meaning of the MiCA Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 is provided. The tools are intended exclusively for users of full age.

How the tools work. All calculations, derivations, and validations run 100 % locally in the user's browser (client-side JavaScript). The core tool functionality has no server connection; seed phrases, private keys, public addresses, and transaction data are never transmitted to, stored by, or logged by the operator or any third party at any time (see the Privacy Policy, section "Processing in Web3 Tools", for details). The source code is publicly viewable and can be independently verified.

User responsibility. Handling private keys, seed phrases, and cryptocurrencies is entirely at the user's own responsibility. In particular, it is the user's responsibility to verify the correctness of addresses before sending funds, to keep seed phrases and private keys secure (e.g. offline on paper or steel) and never store them digitally or share them with anyone, to use the tools in a trustworthy, malware-free, and ideally network-disconnected environment, and to use a hardware wallet for larger amounts. Blockchain transactions are technically irreversible once confirmed; there is no central authority that can reverse a misdirected transfer or recover a lost key — not even the operator of this website.

Limitation of liability. The operator is liable without limitation for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, and for damages caused by intent or gross negligence on the operator's part. Beyond that, the operator is liable only for culpable breach of material contractual obligations, and in that case limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability — in particular for indirect damages, lost profits, or losses in value caused by market volatility, network or protocol changes, third-party attacks (e.g. phishing, malware), incorrect address entry, lost or compromised keys/seed phrases, or other consequences of using these tools, which are provided free of charge — is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

No warranty. The tools are provided "as is," without warranty of continuous availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose. While the cryptographic computations (including BIP32/BIP39/BIP44/BIP84 derivation and EIP-55, Bech32/Bech32m, and Base58Check checksums) have been verified against publicly documented test vectors, no guarantee is given for completeness, currency, or error-free operation in every individual case. Users intending to use the tools for real assets are advised to independently verify results (e.g. by re-importing an address into established wallet software) and to review the publicly available source code themselves.
